If you are interested in being part of our talented team here in Vancouver keep an eye on our Jobs of the Week or Jobs Portal as we are recruiting!
Speaking of joining DNEG Vancouver’s Animation Department we are delighted to announce that Makoto Koyama has recently started with us as Senior Animator after several years in Weta Digital and ILM. With no less than 13 years experience in Animation, he worked on Independence Day: Resurgence, The Jungle Book, The Hobbit, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Hunger Games. And the list goes on!

DNEG was my first choice when I decided to move to Vancouver. I heard a lot of good things about the company from my friends!“, says Makoto, “So far what I like the most about DNEG is that I can sit closely to the other departments. It’s good for productivity, creativity and brainstorming!”.

We also would like to congratulate Alex Melville, long-time Dnegger who recently moved from Matchmove to Animation! Alex first moved from DNEG London to Vancouver as a Matchmove Artist and then decided to specialise in Animation. He recently passed all his Animation modules and received a very warm welcome from the team! Well done Alex!

“I am incredibly pleased to have Makoto and Alex add their exceptional skills to our already very strong animation team, and hope with them to produce more breath taking character and creature animation work in the years to come. Many welcomes Makoto and Alex!” – Robyn Luckham, DNEG Vancouver Head of Animation.
