Since 1998 our crew has been pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology in visual effects, delivering award-winning work for some of the world’s most prominent directors and biggest Hollywood studios. We started as a London-based studio specialising in VFX for feature films. Over the years, our offering has expanded to include VFX and animation for feature film and episodic projects, stereo conversion, virtual production, and much, much more!
DNEG’s VFX work for feature film, episodic and multi-platform content has earned us a trophy cabinet full of awards, including Oscars, BAFTAs, Primetime Emmys, and Visual Effects Society Awards. Our VFX division encompasses departments like Roto, Prep, Matchmove, Layout, Build, Creature, Animation, FX, Environment-Generalist, Compositing and Lighting, and work closely with our Art, Motion Capture, Motion Graphics, Production, Shoot, Technology, Virtual Production and Visualisation teams to name but a few. It’s a collaboration from start to finish.
DNEG Animation is a full service animation studio that embraces creativity and technological innovation to give filmmakers the freedom to bring their stories to life in a new era of animation.
DNEG’s Stereo Conversion team was the first in the world to convert a full Hollywood film from 2D to 3D and has since become one of the largest and most trusted stereo conversion companies in the motion picture industry.
DNEG Virtual Production offers filmmakers and content creators access to a full range of real-time production services – from script breakdown, through development / pre-production, production and post-production, to final picture delivery.
Technology at DNEG encompasses Research & Development (R&D), Production Technology, Information Technology and Systems. The Technology team works to enhance and support our global crew experience, and to shape the future of the VFX and animation industries.
Working in tandem with filmmakers to achieve their creative vision, our Art Department designs, develops and populates the worlds we create for some of our most high profile shows.
Our Motion Graphics (MGFX) team is composed of specialist designers, artists and supervisors, providing MGFX services across all of DNEG’s work.
Our Visualisation team offers directors and producers the opportunity to turn their cinematic vision into reality and block out sequences long before principal photography begins.
From large scale photogrammetry to prop scanning, texture photography and more, our VFX Capture crew and Data Wranglers work across our global studios and are equipped for every challenge.
