The Greenlight program deliver intensive dedicated training, live production experience and mentoring with existing DNEG artists and supervisors. Greenlight has been designed to offer the support and expertise to fully realise the potential of the next generation of VFX artists.

We are looking specifically for applicants open to learning and development for the duration of Greenlight and beyond. Successful applicants will be expected to work alongside and collaborate with other crew in a professional industry environment and stretch themselves to deliver both training and live production tasks to the highest standard.

The programs run in a number of disciplines, dependent on the need in each of our locations. Past routes have included 3D Generalist, Compositing, LookDev-Lighting, FX Animation and Creature. Successful Greenlight trainees are paid for the duration of their programme and are regularly offered extended contracts on completion into junior artist roles.

Graduate and Internship Scheme

The Graduate Scheme (London and Vancouver) is open to graduates of VFX or Animation courses, who completed their studies within the past two years, and with less than 12 months of professional experience.
The Internship Scheme (London and Montréal) is open to students who are about to enter their final year of a VFX or Animation degree.
To be eligible for the scheme, you must already have the right to work in the host location. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas and work permits for the scheme.
Graduates and Interns are paid for the duration of their placement. We support fair access to opportunities for all.


Selection process


  • Submit your application online, via our careers page by the 11th May

  • Short listed candidates will be required to attend an online assessment day on 17th June

  • Following the assessment day we will announce the successful trainees accepted on to the program, which will run online from 19th July

Entry requirements 

Applicants must be:


  • A recent graduate of a VFX, Animation or Games Program
  • For the UK – A recent graduate of a fully accredited VFX, Animation or Games degree
  • A junior professional with less than 12 months experience in VFX
  • Or a professional looking to transition into the VFX industry (for example an experienced feature animation or games artist)


*All applicants must have the right to work in Canada or the UK. Applicants must provide proof of the eligibility of their right to work.
