These programmes are a safe yet inspiring space to help you develop your skill set, gain experience by learning from some of the best talent in the industry, and kick-start your career in VFX and Animation. These programmes aren’t only for artists – they cover a wide range of disciplines and roles.

DNEG x Greenlight India
These 12 to 16 week training courses deliver intensive dedicated training, live production experience and mentoring with DNEG trainers and subject matter experts. Designed to support talented graduates, freelancers, and junior professionals who are looking to take their first steps in the VFX industry, Greenlight India offers a chance to be in the thick of live projects as part of our global Academy Award-winning studio in India.
The programmes will take you through the fundamental concepts of the course of your choice. In parallel, you will also receive in-depth training on department concepts and the DNEG pipeline.
Runners
Running is the best way to get your foot in the door at DNEG. All our Runners join us with the aim of moving up in the business. Our runners support the DNEG crew with any facilities-based duties while learning about the company and the VFX industry. This type of role will give you the grounding and skills you need to succeed once you move up into an artist, production, technology or support position.

DNEG x Greenlight
This 12-week programme begins with an intensive onboarding scheme, where we will guide you through the DNEG pipeline, best practices, and our proprietary tooling. Over a period of up to 4 weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your learning with support from DNEG’s own experts and training team, before taking your next step into the world of real production.
Following a successful onboarding phase, you will have the opportunity to be placed right in the heart of a real DNEG production, and spend the remaining program time contributing to tasks on real DNEG film or episodic projects.

DNEG Production Training Scheme
An initiative launched in our London studio, offering on-the-job training for motivated people looking to begin their career in VFX Production. Working closely alongside our award-winning Production team, you will develop your skills as a VFX Production Assistant while completing a bespoke training programme over an initial three month contract, and receiving a comprehensive introduction to the VFX industry, to DNEG and our pipeline. Trainees who demonstrate exemplary performance and growth throughout this initial period will be offered the opportunity to join the DNEG team at our London headquarters.

DNEG x Greenlight

Each step of the way you will receive the feedback needed for you to successfully contribute to world-class visual effects.

The Kickstart Scheme
An initiative launched by the UK government in 2022 to offer 6-month job placements to 16 – 24 year olds at risk of long-term unemployment. DNEG is proud to be part of the scheme, and to support young people in developing new skills that will help them move into sustained employment after they have completed their job placement.

Apprenticeship
Over the years DNEG in London has welcomed a number of apprentices for up to 18 months, providing them with mentorship in a number of disciplines such as production, R&D and technology, VFX, and more.
Whether you get into the industry through one of our programmes or straight from College or University, these are a few roles open to junior talent – browse our open positions page for more information and links to apply.
Depending on your skills you can also integrate our crew as a junior artist, developer or member of staff.

ATDs perform a variety of tasks to assist the Pipeline TDs to ensure the smooth running of the tools, software, and workflows used on our award-winning VFX and Feature Animation shows. They work closely with the Pipeline TDs to provide face-to-face support for artists.
PAs aid the smooth running of high end VFX feature film projects through supporting the production and supervision team, ensuring the accurate and efficient flow of information.
Runners play a pivotal role in the smooth running of our departments and facilities. They are tasked with assisting the company as a whole and interacting with artists and staff as the first line of support.
