It’s that time of year again, SIGGRAPH time!

Once again, we’re excited to participate in the world’s largest conference for Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, hosted by ACM SIGGRAPH. This year’s event is happening in Vancouver, British Columbia as well as virtually August 8 – 11. Our DNEG and DNEG Animation teams will be attending in full force, and offering a jam-packed line-up of presentations, panels and events.

The VFX of Dune: Bringing an Iconic Story to Life

Accelerate Talent & Cultivate Diversity by Building a Global Mentorship Program

Women received just 21.6% of all VFX credits across the top 400 grossing films from 2016 to 2019, according to a new report titled “Invisible in Visual Effects”, developed by Stacy L. Smith, the Annenberg Inclusion Initiative and Women in Animation. To help create more equality, diversity and inclusion at DNEG, a global mentorship program was created, with the aim of accelerating talent and cultivating diversity. DNEG’s pilot program in Vancouver focused on women and underrepresented team members. In this interactive discussion, the panelists will share how they built a global mentorship program, the lessons learned from the pilot, and authentic stories from our mentees and mentors.

How Ron’s Gone Wrong Went Right With Procedurally Generated Vector Graphics
