New Studio in Chennai

DNEG announces launch of new VFX facility in Chennai, India

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new VFX facility in Chennai. The new studio is due to open in late summer 2017 and is our fifth international facility, joining our existing sites in London, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Mumbai.

“We’re delighted to announce our new facility in Chennai,” said CEO Matt Holben. “There is an abundance of filmmaking talent in the South of India, and we are excited to open our doors to local creatives, technicians and support staff. We are developing a state-of-the-art studio that complements and supports our existing facilities and provides a cutting-edge working environment for our staff.”

Our new Chennai facility is being opened on the back of the success of the Mumbai facility, which was launched in August 2016 and has already grown to a staff of over 900 employees. As part of our international network, the Mumbai team has contributed to films such as ‘The Fate of the Furious’, ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘The Mummy’.

The hunt for talented individuals to join our new facility in Chennai is well underway, and we have a call out for a wide range of VFX, technical and support roles. We’re also planning recruitment roadshows to Chennai and Bangalore – details of all upcoming recruitment events will be posted to our social media channels and website.
