VFX Talk: Small Heroes, Big Effects

Behind the VFX of Ant-Man and the Wasp - 23 August, 7pm - Vancouver

Alessandro Ongaro
Alessandro Ongaro, VFX Supervisor

Ant-Man and the Wasp may be a film about Marvel’s smallest super-heroes, but it took an enormous amount of creativity and VFX technical expertise to bring the duo’s adventures to life on screen.

Now, we’re teaming up with Spark CG to give you an exciting opportunity to hear from DNEG’s VFX Supervisor on the film, Alessandro Ongaro, about what it took to deliver the stunning VFX in Marvel Studio’s latest release.

Through this special talk, which takes place at the Roundhouse Community Arts Centre, Vancouver, on Thursday, August 23, Alessandro will share his creative journey as well as technical insights from the movie, which has grossed more than $390m at box offices worldwide!

Alessandro and the DNEG team worked on more than 500 shots, including some of the film’s most compelling sequences, such as the size-shifting car chase through San Francisco and the complex finale fight sequence between The Wasp and The Ghost.
