DNEG Animation embarks on a new adventure with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation
We are excited to share that DNEG Animation will be the animation studio partner for The Cat in the Hat, the upcoming animated feature film adaptation of the beloved children’s book from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises!
Expected to be released on March 6, 2026, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have already locked in an all-star comedic cast for The Cat in the Hat including Bill Hader (Barry) as The Cat, Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (SNL), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows), and Paula Pell (Girls5eva).
We couldn’t be more excited to help recreate the whimsical world of The Cat in the Hat, and to help bring this iconic property to the screen as an animated feature. This will be DNEG Animation’s seventh major animated project, following its work on The Garfield Movie, That Christmas, Nimona, Under the Boardwalk, Entergalactic, and Ron’s Gone Wrong.
