Vancouver was our first studio in North America, and it epitomizes life on the Canadian West coast: friendly and close to nature

The Vancouver Facility

Located in the False Creek area of town, close to the Olympic Village, our Vancouver facility is one SkyTrain station from downtown.

Our very modern and stylish building is surrounded by numerous start-ups, tech companies and other VFX studios, which makes the neighbourhood a dynamic and animated environment.

Nature is never far away in Vancouver – you can walk from our offices to the beautiful Hinge Park and sit by the water for your lunch break. And even though there are a multitude of lovely coffee shops around, our facility hosts its own café, allowing our employees to enjoy Vancouver coffee culture, whether it’s at their desk, in one of our chill-out areas or on our sunny patio.

Life at DNEG Vancouver

Our studio, just like Vancouver itself, is home to a beautiful and friendly multi-cultural community. Our talented team is seated across two floors, which makes it easy to get to know the people you work with. Also in sync with the city’s personality, many of our staff take an active approach to commuting and use Vancouver’s extensive bike lane system to get to work.

Inside and outside of our offices, people can enjoy a very collaborative and close-knit environment. The vibe here is ‘work hard/play hard’: put in a solid day of work and follow up with skiing or heading to the beach in the evening, or exploring the lakes, mountains and islands nearby on the weekend.

With its scenic views, mild climate and friendly people, Vancouver is known around the world as both a popular tourist attraction and one of the best places to live.

Vancouver_6

Majestic mountains, sparkling ocean, rainforests and beautiful foliage throughout all four seasons make Vancouver one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is on the southwest corner of the province of British Columbia, surrounded on three sides by water.

Vancouver

Vancouver’s moderate, oceanic climate makes it one of the warmest cities in Canada. And despite a rain-prone climate, it displays a perpetually sunny disposition. In winter, the heart of downtown is 30 minutes from the ski slopes. In summer, sun seekers crowd its beaches and seaside promenades.

Vancouver is also one of the most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities in Canada with 52 percent of the population speaking a first language other than English. In 2019, Vancouver ranked 6th place in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s list of world’s most liveable cities. The Greater Vancouver area has a population of 2.5 million, making it the third-largest metropolitan area in Canada.

Our Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto, Los Angeles studios are located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, the Tongva & Gabrielino Populations, and the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, respectively. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples living on this land.
