Gotham is under threat to be destroyed forever. Can Batman save it this time? And survive?

A cinematic, cultural and personal triumph, The Dark Knight Rises is emotionally inspiring, aesthetically significant and critically important for America itself – as a mirror of both sober reflection and resilient hope. The Playlist

DNEG’s Work

Double Negative has worked on all three films in Chris Nolan’s seminal Batman trilogy. Having been lead vendor on Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, we were delighted to be invited by Christopher Nolan to act as sole vendor on Dark Knight Rises. Work included the stunning aerial hijacking that opens the film, the destruction of Gotham Rogues Stadium and the final battle for Gotham City.

The film’s overall VFX Supervisor was Double Negative’s Paul Franklin, DNEG’s internal VFX Supervisors were Peter Bebb and Andrew Lockley – the same team that had previously won the Visual Effects Oscar (along with Special Effects Supervisor Chris Corbould) for their work on Inception.
