Synopsis

“The Serpent” is an eight-part limited series, co-produced by BBC One and Netflix. Starring Jenna Coleman (“Victoria”), Billy Howle (“Dunkirk“) and Ellie Bamber (“Les Misérables“), the series is inspired by real events and tells the story of Charles Sobhraj’s capture. Interpol’s most wanted man in the late seventies, Sobhraj was the chief suspect in the unsolved murders of up to 20 young Western travellers across India, Thailand and Nepal’s ‘Hippie Trail’ in 1975 and 1976.
