Looking back at DNEG Animpalooza 2024!
Last month DNEG Animation, in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, hosted the very first DNEG Animpalooza at La Cinémathèque Québécoise in Montreal!
We were delighted to welcome animation professionals to join us for a day of inspiring masterclasses, insightful presentations, networking opportunities and exclusive sneak peeks. In case you missed it, enjoy some photos from the exciting day!
We were so excited to have members from Warner Bros. Pictures Animation join us for the day, where they shared two masterclasses, as well as an exclusive look at their upcoming slate – which of course includes our upcoming collaboration on a new animated version of Dr. Seuss’s beloved classic, The Cat In The Hat! It was an honour to explore our shared creative values through these presentations, and we can’t wait to start creating beautifully crafted animated stories together.
Then, Jennifer Harlow (Animation Supervisor, DNEG Animation), Shabnam Abbarin (Pipeline Supervisor, DNEG Animation), Rikke Asbjoern (Head of Story, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation) & Carolyn Soper (Producer, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation) came together to share an insightful look at being a woman in the animation industry, moderated by our very own Kara Oropallo (VP Crew Development, DNEG Animation).
Next, DNEG Animation’s leadership team Crosby Clyse (Managing Director), Philippe Denis (Creative Director), Ted Ty (Global Head of Character Animation), David Park (Head of Production) & Kara Oropallo (VP Crew Development) took the stage to share a closer look at life at DNEG Animation!
Meanwhile, in our recruitment area, members of our DNEG Animation team conducted portfolio reviews, 1:1 meetings & networking opportunities.
At the end of the day, attendees & panellists enjoyed great food and better company at our mixer!
