Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

As the Harry Potter story draws closer to its conclusion, the sixth instalment, 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince', sees the Death Eaters wreak havoc, the threat from Voldemort growing stronger and Harry and Dumbledore starting to prepare for the final battle that is inevitably approaching.

Having worked with DNEG on previous Potter movies, director David Yates and VFX Supervisor, Tim Burke returned to DNEG to lead the visual effects for the Half Blood Prince.

Led by DNEG’s VFX Supervisor, Paul Franklin, the team worked on several major sequences such as the opening titles, the London and Millennium Bridge attack, the attack on the Burrows, the Pensieve sequence, the Room of Requirements, the Astronomy Tower and more.
