Andrew Jackson inspires at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts!
Our Oscar-winning VFX veteran shares career insights with students
Earlier this month, our very own Andrew Jackson gave an inspiring presentation at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Sydney!
Speaking to an enthralled cohort of course leaders and students across NIDA’s 3 year BFA (Props and Effects) Undergraduate Program and Directing MFA Post Graduate program, Andrew discussed his illustrious 30+ year career in visual effects.
Beginning his career in physical modelling and miniatures, Andrew shared more about developing his expertise in balancing visual and practical effects to create compelling photoreal results - as seen in his work as Production VFX Supervisor across blockbuster feature films such as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, Tenet and Dunkirk, and George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Mad Max: Fury Road.
