DNEG onboard as lead VFX partner for ‘Gundam’!
Iconic mech franchise coming to the big screen as a live-action movie!
We’re thrilled to announce that we're helping to bring to life the first ever live-action feature film adaptation of Gundam for Legendary Pictures and Netflix, in partnership with Bandai Namco Filmworks!
Following our successful partnership on the Dune saga, DNEG is honoured to be collaborating on another iconic sci-fi franchise with Legendary Pictures, who are producing Gundam in partnership with Bandai Namco Filmworks. Our very own Maxwell Wood will serve as Production VFX Supervisor on the film!
Gundam is a Japanese anime franchise known for pioneering the sci-fi subgenre known as mecha. Jim Mickle (Sweet Tooth) is attached as Director, with Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo on board to star. Jackson White, Nonso Anozie, Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton, Oleksandr Rudynskyi, Ida Brooke, and Jason Isaacs have also joined the cast!
