Located in the vibrant Downtown area of the city, our Montréal studio is one of the latest additions to our global network

The Montréal Facility

Our Montréal studio is located in the vibrant Downtown area, where you can find a wide variety of museums, shopping centres, restaurants and bars. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to the McGill, Bonaventure and Square Victoria OACI metro stations and a very short commute to the popular neighbourhoods like Plateau Mont-Royal, Mile End, Saint-Henri, Griffintown and HoMa. From our studio all the major attractions and the many festivals are only a bike-ride away! Our new offices are very spacious and open, offering plenty of room for all the newcomers who are joining our rapidly growing team!

Life at DNEG Montréal

The cultural vibrancy of the city reflects the culture of the DNEG studio. Everyone who works here breathes creativity and joy de vivre. Every Friday, after a good work week, we have happy hour for all our employees. This camaraderie extends way beyond the walls of the studio and into the various events that we take part in within the important VFX community of Montréal.

Montréal is the largest city in the province of Quebec. It’s an island surrounded by the Saint-Lawrence river and is named after the mountain Mt. Royal which is at the heart of the city.

This multicultural city is a hub for culture and activities with festivals going on all year round. The important presence of the French-speaking community contributes to the very distinctive personality of the city.

Life in Montreal is all about food. Second only to New York, Montréal has the highest number of restaurants per capita in North America! Montréal is best known for its smoked meat, bagels and poutine (French fries, gravy, and cheese curds).

Montréal is also graced with four distinct seasons. Here you get to experience the crisp fall air when the leaves turn magnificent colours; winter when the city gets covered in snow; spring when the snow melts and the leaves start to bud, and summer when Montréalers love to relax in the sun. The weather is relatively hot in the summer with the average temperature at around 21 degrees Celsius to -9 degrees Celsius in the winter months. The cold of the winter months can be avoided by using Montréal’s underground tunnel system which spans a whopping 32 kilometres around the downtown!

Our Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto, Los Angeles studios are located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, the Tongva & Gabrielino Populations, and the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, respectively. We respect the continued connections with the past, present and future in our ongoing relationships with Indigenous and other peoples living on this land.
