If you’re in London on Wednesday 12 September from 6.30pm, come along to Escape Studios and discover how to supercharge your showreel to help secure your dream job.
We’re partnering with Escape Studios, part of Pearson College London, for REEL TALK Live. This is a FREE one-night event that will see top industry professionals critique recent graduates’ showreels in front of a live audience.
Jan Jinda, Build Technical Director at DNEG, whose work includes A Cure for Wellness, Dunkirk and Pacific Rim Uprising, will join fellow experts from animators Blue Zoo and gaming company Creative Assembly, to share insight into what he looks for in candidates’ showreels and offer his recommendations for enhancements.
Originally from the Czech Republic, Jan worked on games, architecture visualisations and TV commercials, before joining DNEG. He’s a specialist in complex modelling, digital sculpting, texturing and look development. Today, Jan is part of our team working on Venom.
For REEL TALK Live, he will review a showreel by Andrea Lacedelli, a graduate of Escape Studio’s 3D for VFX course who is currently working as a runner in the VFX industry.
Afterwards, Jan and fellow speakers will be on hand to answer questions from the audience. There will also be pizza and drinks, too!
